Home Owner Associations have taken it to far in the state of Texas. They were put in place to protect homeowners and there properties, not to take advantage of them. For those of you who live or are thinking of buying in deed restricted communities may want to read this article.

Who is falling into foreclosures? If you think it is sub-prime borrowers you might want to think again. Florida Association of Realtors wanted to look into the crisis further and what they found out was interesting. They found out that 35% of foreclosure filings were for people that lived in there homes 10 years or more.

Lead based paint has always been a concern and now the EPA is tightening up the regulations regarding the exposure to lead paint. These new regulations, that have been pending since the mid 90's, will more then likely cause renovation costs to go up and competition in the construction world to decrease. Both will probably mean higher prices for the consumer.
